Laser and IPL technology compared to SHR:

Traditional laser or IPL techniques use short pulses of about 2-300 milliseconds, using a large amount of energy (12-120 joules) per square centimeter. The energy is transferred to the hair roots through the melanin, generating heat at 65-72 degrees Celsius. Energy can only reach the base of the hair follicle through melanin.
